Description

The conceptual architectural design for Cotton Bay Villas was completed by the world renowned architecture and design firm of Wimberly, Allison, Tong & Goo. The actual working drawings were completed by Bahamian architect, Trevor Bridgewater, who has designed more homes in The Bahamas than any other architect.

Paula Fox, of Paula Fox Interiors, a New York based firm, along with her Associate Designer, Ellen Spirer, are designing Cotton Bay Villas, with the inspiration and imagination that will take Caribbean chic to a new level of excitement in the Bahamas. Paula Fox Interiors has established a niche in the world of hospitality and residential design, creating visionary and innovative solutions for high end clients and luxury hotel properties. The firm recently completed The Atlantic condominium hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which is operated by Starwood Luxury Collection.

Surrounding the Clubhouse, are fully appointed two-bedroom and three-bedroom villas, which offer Beachfront vista, Ocean View, Caribbean View, or are situated in an Interior setting. Each unit is entered through a brightly landscaped patio, has a large covered veranda and a Jacuzzi. The veranda is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery. Each unit has a separate guest powder room, laundry, a fully-equipped kitchen with all of the modern appliances, a large living and dining room and generous bedrooms, each with its own private bath and dressing room.

The architecture borrows from Caribbean style, part Colonial, but with an indigenous Island character. The colours all come from the palette of the surrounding natural vegetation, the pristine beaches, the infinite sky and the ever changing sea. The buildings are designed to sit gently on the land and are all sited to capture the gentle Trade Winds that brush the island. The villas are elegant, but always casual, and like the people of Eleuthera, they are friendly, warm and inviting.
