The Colonial East
Before the days of air conditioning, the eastern end of the island was known to have the coolest breezes and most large Colonial houses were build in the east for this reason.
Over time this part of New Providence has changed from the most exclusive address to being a little tired in the 1970’s and 1980’s giving way for a regeneration and modernization of the area in the last two decades.
There are now some wonderfully large estates that have been improved recently to be found at reasonable prices and the area is undergoing renewed interest by investors and home owners.
